Texas Roadhouse at 4511 Commercial Drive, New Hartford, New York.

The place is always busy, and reservations can not be made over the phone. I was in a party of seven, for a birthday dinner, and from arriving to finally take a seat was almost two hours. The lack of a waiting space, both indoors and outdoors, did little to comfort restaurant goers. Even the bar area is packed. The bright spot in the evening is the staff; they go the extra mile to accommodate guests. Notably as we were looking for a place to stand at the bar a bartender left the bar to take our orders.

Frankly I don't think the food we were served was worth the wait. My order of cheese fries were idle long enough for the cheese to harden. My party wanted to send it back to the kitchen, but the wait left us too hungry to deny it. The Rattlesnake Bites were fine, but wasn't as spicy as it would lead people to believe. I requested my steak be cooked medium, and when it was served it was more like medium rare. I'm thinking the shear number of people is the root cause here.

During the weekdays when it's less busy might be a better time to pay a visit. If it's during the weekend, I recommend going somewhere else or show up very early to request a table.
