Even 1 star is too generous in my opinion. Folks, this is literally the WORST place to patronize. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Carls, unless you enjoy wasting money and having no recourse. I can not believe he is still in business with his shady business practices and horrible, junk furniture and scam artist ways. Scour the internet, you will see many testimonials from upset people who were shafted by him, and any positive review you might come across is likely fake, in my humble opinion. I purchased an entire living room set in 2013, AND paid extra for the optional warranty. Well, the set didn't even hold up 1 year before it started falling apart, real poor quality. Just pure garbage! Considering I purchased the additional warranty at the tune of a few hundred dollars, I called them to try and utilize this, and was told I was out of luck because he re-located to New Hartford and sold his last location in Utica! WOW! Is that really how you do business? Way to screw your customers over! They showed no concern, tried to brush me off, and just told me they couldn't help me. A real poor way to treat paying customers and make them feel valued. You steal peoples money, sell garbage furniture, and then screw them over with WARRANTIES and unable to fix/repair/replace the junk furniture b/c of circumstances completely out of our control? How is that a way to conduct business? You have a the responsibility to make it right and stand behind YOUR products! It's irrelevant to paying customers if you relocated or whatever your circumstances were, as we paid in good faith for a warranty service we should be able to use. This type of service speaks volumes about their integrity and customer centricity. Just an awful experience, pass the buck and screw us all over. You should be ashamed of yourself and the many of innocent people you stole from. I have never witnessed such poor business practices in my life, nor have I ever saw such poor quality furniture! Tehans puts you to shame! You have no right being in business. Any successful, customer centric business would offer to make this right, as its unfair to operate in this manner. I will warn people about your practices, and file as many complaints as I can to save another innocent person from falling prey to your horrible business practices. Seriously, sell quality furniture, stand behind your products, HONOR your warranties, DO WHAT'S RIGHT for your customers, don't make excuses, treat us fairly, and we return! You do the exact opposite. Its disappointing and poor service!
